Basics:

• Used to be the standard

• Don’t suggest piercing with rings

• If you plan on wearing a ring tell your piercer

• Should wait 6-8 months

Pros:

1. More noticeable

2. A large variety of designs

3. More secure

4. Doesn’t catch on clothing

5. Low maintenance

Cons:

1. More contact

2. More movement

3. Can damage a healed piercing(hinge or seam)

4. The width needs to be big enough to wrap around the nostril

5. Your Employer may not allow it

Jewelry Styles:

• Hinged Rings

• Captive Bead Rings

• Beaded Ring

• Seamless Ring

• Nostril Nail

Living with the Jewelry:

• With Hinged Rings, Beaded Rings, and Seamless Rings Need to make sure the seam is outside of the piercing

• Nostril nails can fall out

• If you notice discomfort or other issues, switch back to stud

• Depending on the style, you may need to have your piercer change the jewelry

• It Maybe bigger than you pictured
