    • tenderness to the touch

    • Effect eating and speech

  • 2 weeks rinsing

  • Must clean twice daily

  • Downsize jewelry

Living with the piercing:

  • Must leave the jewelry in

  • Should monitor the lower gum

  • Doesn’t interrupt Sleeping, eating, and speech

  • Want to avoid trauma

Abandoning the piercing:

  • Will close quickly

  • will leave an indention scar
