In Episode 81, DaVo, a Professional Piercer since 1994, covers the Pros and Cons of Threaded Jewelry. The point of this video is to help those deciding what is the right jewelry for them.

Pros:

1. Easy to insert and remove. Especially with thicker gauge jewelry

2. Lower profile

3. Large variety of ends

4. different styles - Standard, Curved, Circular and labret.

5. Can be very secure and durable

Cons

1. The ends can loosen on their own

2. The space between the end and the post can trap contaminates

3. Externally threaded can damage the piercing

4. Can be difficult to start screwing on

5. More expensive than rings

Living with the jewelry

1. The Tightness of the ends will need to be checked regularly

2. Can be worn for a long period of time

3. Should be cleaned from time to time
