Anodizing Body Piercing Jewelry - Body Piercing Basics EP126 -

Show Notes:

  • A grouping of 3 more Frenum piercings usually runs down the underside of the shaft of the penis. However, it can be done on the top or side also.

  • The earliest reference is in the Zeirshrift Fur Ethnologie which stated that “Amongst the Timorese Of Indonesia, the Frenulum below the glans of the penis is pierced with brass rings…the function if the ring is to enhance stimulation during sex.”

  • There is piercing lore that claimed that the piercing was used as a form of chastity but there is no proof that it ever was during antiquity.

  • In modern times it was developed in the Gay BDSM subculture and then introduced to the general public with the uprising of Modern Professional piercing. This is when the ladder of piercings began.

  • Jacob’s ladder is a reference to the bible and Jacob’s Ladder to heaven.

  • Can bleed for 5-6 days and you may need to use a sanitary napkin or pad. Buy them in advance.

  • It is not going to feel comfortable to have sex for the first week or more.

  • If you are doing a ladder, usually three is about the limit.

  • Does the piercer provide aftercare products and written and verbal aftercare instructions?

The Piercing Experience:

Abandoning the piercing:

  • If the piercing is still healing and there is signs of infection, see your piercer or doctor before removing the jewelry

  • If the piercing is healthy and still healing, treat it like any other wound or cut.

  • Will close but may appear open for a long period of time.

  • Often there is large indention scars, these may not go away completely but should fade over time.

  • The holes may produce a cream cheese-like discharge, this is sebum.
