    4. 14kt Solid Yellow Gold or Better(with metal sensitivities avoid colored gold)

    5. Glass

    6. Organic Materials(not best for piercing)

    7. Materials to avoid

    11. Silicone(while piercing or stretching)

  2. Third-Party Certification such as ATSM

    1. should be mirror-like

    2. smooth or glass-like to the touch

    3. With curved or circular jewelry check the inside of the curve

    4. With threaded and threadless the ends should be smooth to the touch

  5. Ends should be smooth to the touch with no shape edges

  6. The closer should fit tightly

  7. Gauge and width

  8. plating is not the same as solid, mention black titanium and PVD plating

  9. individually wrapped and sterile
