Ear Piercing Projects Planning - Body Piercing Basics EP128

In the 128th episode of DaVo's Youtube series Body Piercing Basics, he discusses what steps you should take before starting a multi-piercing Ear Piercing Project.

Show Notes:

What to consider:

Is it a new project or are you combining existing piercing?

  • What piercings will work with your anatomy?

  • What style of jewelry do you want to wear?

  • The Shape of your ear?

  • Are you going to want to change the jewelry?

  • What color of materials look best with your skin tone

Pattern / constellation style ear flats:

  • Decide if you want a centerpiece

  • Build off the alignment of existing piercing or create a pattern

  • Decide on jewelry style and size beforehand

  • combine different sizes, shapes, gems, and colors to make it seem unified

  • If the top of the ear bows outward or has a fold to it, consider matching the placement.

  • Mark out complete placement and take a photo.

Industrials, Tridents, and Orbits:

  • May require bending the barbells to match the piercing angles

  • Greatly increases the risk of issues

  • Orbit piercings have to be perfectly spaced.

  • The angle of the piercing is just as important as the placement

  • May find that the jewelry is uncomfortable to wear

Existing piercings:

  • Often adding jewelry that is uniform with the project reduces the distraction of older piercings.

  • May have to abandon old piercings if they interfere with the new project.

  • Consider Stacking additional piercings to older piercings to create a new pattern and look.
