Decontamination - Knowing Your Piercer is Clean - Part 3 - Body Piercing Basics EP 15
In the 15th Episode of Body Piercing Basic, DaVo goes into How a piercer decontaminates re-usable tools like forceps, hemostats, taper pins, pliers, etc... after they have been used to pierce someone. In this video he describes the step between the tools being used and the tools being wrapped and sterilized before using on the next client. This is the Third in a series about Piercing Safety. The focus is on what the piercer does to prepare for the piercing, steps that are taken during the piercing and after the piercing is done. General the focus is on Sterilization, Sanitation, decontamination, and Isolation or Cross Contamination Prevention. DaVo, a Professional Piercer since 1994, goes in depth into the subject of piercing ethics and what you should consider when a piercer says they won't do something.
This video is designed for those new to Body Piercing and as an educational introduction. You should always consult a professional piercer or medical profession before getting any piercing or embarking on a piercing procedure. One of the concepts behind this series is to give the average person the ability to have an educated conversation about the piercing will be done with their piercer.
