This is a gallery of the early days of BMX with DaVo and Kent Hayse. Most of these are from 1982 through 1985 including racing at the old Des Moines BMX Track that was located on 63rd and Army Post and Kansas City. Also our early quarter pipes, riding around my family home in Pleasant Hill and the first Flyin' and Stylin' Trick Team demo at Merrle Hay Mall in 1985.

Russ Cook's Half pipe was a fixture of the Skating and BMX freestyling scene for about 2 years until the neighbors threatened legal action if it wasn't moved. It set behind Cook house out in Clive until it was completely torn down and loaded in the back of my 70 Chevy Pickup truck and haul in to loads to the Darren Stout's house on the South side of Des Moines.  After that it was torn down again and the frame was put back together first at a house in the Southeast Bottoms and a house on MKL Jr Parkway(then Harding Rd).

In 86 we had started driving down to Kansas City whenever we could and Dennis McCoy invited us down for this car show Demo they were doing. Riding that day was a Dennis of course, Brian Belture, Rick Thorne and Hutch's Rick Moliterno. I believe I have more photos and I'll try to scan and post them soon.
