On April 13th, 1969 Took my first breath and joined the human race and ever since have been for the most part, making the world wish it had never invited me to the party in the first place. At least that's what they keep telling me. Just who "they" are is always in question.

I started writing these Reports long before they called them blogs. They date back to 1998 and there are some big empty spaces in there. They are partly rants, partly histroy but they are all me. Often the subject manner is something that either got my goat or interests me at the time. They range in subjects from the joys and fustrations of daily life to music to gadgets to vacations. Hello my name is Davo (Dave-o) and I own and operate the Axiom in Des Moines, Iowa. We specialize in Body piercing which I have been doing professionally since May of 1994. I apprenticed under Chuck Hayes at Exotics in Omaha in 1994. I began piercing at Creative Images on June 1st, 1994 and then left to open the Axiom, which opened on March 28th,1995. Then moved into the Skin Kitchen in October of 1999. Body piercing to me is my art form and I see it as an enhancement and reclaiming of the body.

I don't know what sparked this. Maybe my son Quinn's interest, a want to lose a few pounds or who knows but I just recently bought a Mongoose and have began riding again. Of course not at the level that I once did. For the most part I haven't touched a bike or a skateboard for that matter in 15 or so years. Riding again has brought back some old feelings
